Monique Lhuillier

I just discovered this bridal dress designer, I really like the soft look her gowns portray.

  1. hey! I love your blog! So Im having a summer wedding, my wedding colors are red and yellow, and I was wondering would you recommend shorter brides maids dresses since its summer? Im trying to make in Summer themedish. Also should the bridesmaids dresses match the colors, or do you recommend adding another color with their dresses?

I would love your wedding help!

  2. I would go with shorter. I tend to favor shorter bridesmaids dresses because I think it sets the bride apart more. However, if you’re having a more formal wedding you may want to consider longer dresses.

Since it’s summer, there are so many bright colors you can play with. Maybe have your maid/matron of honor’s dress match your color theme but have the rest of your bridal party have different color dresses.

To continue with your red/yellow theme, you have all the groomsmen wear a red or yellow tie and your bridesmaids could wear red or yellow shoes?

There is a lot you can do with summer colors!

    Hope this helps 🙂

  3. Thanks so much for the help! I have another question haha So for the Bridal shower, who usually plans it? Also should it be with the same theme as the wedding?

again Thanks so much for the help!

    • Typically the maid/matron of honor and the rest of your bridesmaids or mother plans the bridal shower. But it doesn’t always have to be that way, you can plan it if you want or delegate the task for someone outside the bridal party.

It doesn’t have to be a different theme. I would say it would be fun to come up with something different! Maybe an “UP” themed shower, something like the lemonade stand one that I planned. Or something as simple as a BBQ themed (since your wedding is in the summer)?
