Travel theme & awesome calligraphy

Spotted this on the blog 100 Layer Cake and had to share. I love traveling and travel themed weddings. Also- LOOK AT THAT CALLIGRAPHY. My handwriting is, well, average.  I am so envious of Betsy Dunlap’s talent. What I love about these invites: 1) the map inside the envelopes 2) the tie-around string 3) awesome wax seal 4) the calligraphy

Brioche Typeface

Yet another little treasure I found via Tumblr.

Exactly like the image indicates it would be perfect for weddings or other wedding related events. For me it almost reminds me of a daily specials board at a restaurant (and that’s probably why I like this typeface.)

Stamped Fête & California Ranch

Another all around gorgeous outdoor wedding. I originally found this wedding from the print work on the invitations and signage. Makes me feel a little self conscious about my handwriting. After looking at photographs from the wedding I feel in love with the natural feel of the color scheme. Generally if I have to choose between black and brown, I always choose black. But this wedding make me appreciate the different shades of brown.
Upon thinking of my future wedding (far in the future) I keep wondering how much DIY projects I could complete myself or with the help of others. I love the idea of getting a stamp made for the invites or other aspects of the wedding.

Beach Carnival

My boss just recieved a wedding invitation in the mail and I had to share this invitation with you, it’s adorable! Sorry the pictures are dark and aren’t of the best quality, I had to take them on my phone.

Also, I don’t know how to rotate them. I shall figure this out at home…somehow.
